Episode 169 – The End of the World that wasn’t…again, Alchemist tries turning poop into gold, global warming is true and God

Episode #169 – Free Talk

In our opening Free Talk segment, we discussed the end of the world that wasn’t, again!  We also discussed how Loren Coleman thought jokes on a parody site were real, how a drunken alchemist tried turning his poop into gold, and touched on how global warming deniers financed a study that showed global warming is true.  Listen here:  http://www.strangefrequenciesradio.net/Shows/sfr_show169_hour1.mp3

In the 2nd hour, because we could not get Bob Curran on internationally via Skye or Landline, we were forced to wing it.  So, what did we talk about?  Well, in a word, God.  We talked about why people think having faith is good, we discussed books of the Bible that discuss why there is no such thing as heaven or an afterlife, and even touched on the downright evil stuff god is said to be responsible for, despite being thought of as loving and merciful.  Listen here:  http://www.strangefrequenciesradio.net/Shows/sfr_show169_hour2.mp3

About Bobby the Paranormal Skeptic

Bobby Nelson is a skeptic, writer, and co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio. His personal blog can be found online at www.porkrhine.com At one time, Bobby was what could be called a "true believer" in paranormal phenomenon. Having been an active investigator of the paranormal for 12 years with several different Toledo based teams, he has examined countless claims of activity. But years worth of research and investigation proved to him that the evidence for these claims are generally lacking and, furthermore, the vast majority of so-called scientific paranormal investigators were using improper methodologies which caused them to draw both false and misleading conclusions.

  1. Thanks for mentioning my web site, The Bolingbrook Babbler. It turns 13 next month. 🙂

I had heard of Loren Coleman before writing this story. I knew he ran a Cryptozoology Museum, but that was about it. I didn’t think he would take my site seriously.

Anyway, keep up the good work. 🙂

Ha! Sorry I am just now seeing this comment. But your website was hilarious. It was definitely a comedy of errors having Mr. Coleman believe that a page clearly marked as parody was a serious news article. Appreciate the kind words!
