Episode #181 – Dr. Scott Bonn

In our first hour’s free talk segment, we discussed Bobby’s trip to see Star Wars Episode 1, the return of the Walking Dead, and also mourned the loss of “Cemetery zombie,” the first zombie on-screen in Night of the Living Dead, played by Bill Hinzman. We also give out of best wishes for quick healing to longtime SFR producer Egon, who recently had brain surgery. Oh yeah…and we talk more about Jenny Stewart and how she is still mad at us since her appearance on our show.

Dr. Scott BonnIn the 2nd hour, we welcomed Dr. Scott Bonn, a criminology and sociology professor at Drew University. Doc Bonn spoke to us about the definition and motivation of serial killers. Are they born or bred? Why do they behave the way they do? We also talked about the public’s fascination with the criminal mind, and he also related some inside information from interviews he has conducted with BTK and “Son of Sam” David Berkowitz. Very fascinating stuff. If you like true crime, or want insights on the criminal mind, be sure to check out this interview!

About Bobby the Paranormal Skeptic

Bobby Nelson is a skeptic, writer, and co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio. His personal blog can be found online at www.porkrhine.com At one time, Bobby was what could be called a "true believer" in paranormal phenomenon. Having been an active investigator of the paranormal for 12 years with several different Toledo based teams, he has examined countless claims of activity. But years worth of research and investigation proved to him that the evidence for these claims are generally lacking and, furthermore, the vast majority of so-called scientific paranormal investigators were using improper methodologies which caused them to draw both false and misleading conclusions.
