Episode #198 – Dave Thomas & Lynn Tedeschi

Today on Strange Frequencies Radio we celebrated the 65th Anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident by welcoming on a physicist who can explain it from a scientific perspective and a woman whose story was profiled on Ghost Hunters.

In the first hour, we recapped last week’s episode about Jesus mythicism and states our reasons for the idea that Jesus may not have existed at all. Yes, controversial, we know!

We also discussed the premiere of the National Geographic show “Chasing UFOs” and how it is being almost universally panned from UFO believers and skeptics alike. We also debuted a new segment on the show, “Steve Hill…on Science.” Today, we read aloud and analyzed a Facebook status Mr. Hill made about how science works. Hilarity ensues.

Our first guest of the day was Dave Thomas, a physicist and mathematician who we first had on our 9/11 10 years anniversary show. Why is Dave always on anniversary specials? He came on today to talk about the Roswell Incident and explain why the UFO reports and claims of alien bodies don’t stand up to any kind of rational scrutiny. He tells the story of the events with great detail and, really, if you listen with an open mind and check the facts for yourself, you really can’t believe anything paranormal happened at all back at Roswell in 1947.

Finally, we spoke to Lynn Tedeschi, a woman whose story was profiled in the season 3 episode “Nightmare Noises.” She is working on a book about the events that were going on in her home and her experiences with TAPS and the Ghost Hunters program. What is like to go behind the scenes of Ghost Hunters? Do you they offer compensation to the people whose stories they profile? Hotel Room? HA. And what about the editing process? We get into all of it with Lynn in this very honest and forthright portrayal of someone who experienced it.
