Episode #200 – 200th Episode Special
Today we celebrated our 200th episode in the only way we know how: by stuffing our fat faces, making fun of ourselves and telling our tales of woe.
We kicked off the first hour by talking about how their almost wasn’t a 200th episode at all. While dropping off his kid’s, Bobby’s car door wouldn’t close. Thankfully, his dad had tools and knew what to do with them, because he had us running again in no time. We also talked about visiting the newest Barnes & Noble in Toledo and lamented about how disappointing it was.
Then, we got into recent random conversations we have had on Facebook with former guest Orbdog, who is apparently still holding a grudge about stuff that happened almost two months ago.
And what about the recent paranormal hoaxed photo flap as promoted and publicized by Ghosts of New England Research Society? We delved into that as well. Whether it was the team themselves that hoaxed the photo or were duped by the location in question, ultimately it it the team’s responsibility and the team’s reputation put on the line when they post evidence. Instead of owning their screw-up and moving on, Kurt Knapp, the lead investigator of the team has instead made his group look even worse by going online and trying to belittle the people who caught his error.
In our second hour we started things off with, you guessed it, PIE! Hostess cherry and apple pies, to be specific. We’re cheap and fat, what can we say? While we crammed our mouths full of high fat and calorie goodies, we set up the book giveaway! It was a Nick Redfern collection. The winner had to answer a single question: What is Nick Redfern’s favorite Ramones song.
While we waited for the winning entry, we played 35 minutes of “Best Of” audio clips from the past 100 episodes. You can make the argument that we haven’t had that many great moments and, guess what? We won’t dispute that. You can also say that it would have been easier to make a lowlight reel of our technical glitches and other bonehead errors. But it’s only a two hour show and there would never be enough time to get to them all!
All in all, we had fun goofing around a little bit and we thank you for being there for so many of our shows to date. We hope you’ll stick around for many episodes to come. Thanks for tuning in!
