Episode 209 – JW Ocker’s New York Grimpendium

Is it possible we have more Orbdog news?  Yes it is…in the form of a statement he released on his Facebook page calling us out.  It must be heard to be believed!  We also talked about “Rover Speaks,” a new piece of nonsense from Bill Chappell which, using “Ovilus speech technology,” allows you to talk to your pet…and your pet to talk to you!  How your pet understands your questions is the first of many problems.  Also, we do a couple reviews.  Bobby recently saw the movie “The Possession” which he wasn’t too thrilled with, and Korbus caught the premiere of Paranormal Paparazzi and explains why it totally sucked.  All this…plus you may even hear our buddy Egon farting in the background.  Folks watching live were treated to a striptease…Ew.

In our second hour, we welcomed back JW Ocker to talk about the weird and macabre and to get a peek at his upcoming book, The New York Grimpendium.  One cool thing about talking with Ocker is that you get to bone up a little on your paranormal and psychical research history, true crime and American literature all for just one conversation!  So, what did we talk about?  A little bit of everything, really.  The Fox Sisters.  Houdini.  The Son of Sam, Jack the Ripper, Sleepy Hollow and so much more.  Don’t miss this entertaining discussion of the dark side of the Empire State!

About Jason Korbus

Friend, family member, possible werewolf. I co-host Strange Frequencies Radio, blog at Confidential Korbus, and generally walk among the weird. When I'm not doing busywork, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, my eyes glued to a glowing screen, or my ears tuned to The Ramones.

  1. John Keels Weed Deeler says:

how come you don’t put the show in a single file so it can be downloaded from iTunes? As it is you only get the first hour.
