The NSA has been gathering Verizon customer phone records, and we ask how comfortable people are with the news
–Speaking of increased governmental powers, the Supreme Court rules that your DNA can now be taken and stored in a national databank if you are arrested.  Is DNA the 21st century equivalent of the fingerprint?
bigbrother–Is Big Brother watching you?  And why are many conspiracy theorists more interested in Benghazi or a fictional gun confiscation scenario?
–A gunman with an “assault rifle” kills several people in Santa Monica, bringing the total number of mass shootings stopped by armed citizens to zero.
–We post the photo of a living person on a psychic message board and ask for a reading.  Hilarity ensues.
–A father pleads guilty to beating his 2 year old child to death, believing she was possessed.

In the 2nd hour, we talk about “The Night Stalker” Richard Ramirez dying, and Manson follower Leslie Van Houten being denied parole.  We contrast these stories, which leads to a broader discussion about what exactly justice is, and whether it can truly be served in some cases.  From there, we touch on topics involving faith, science and medicine.

About Jason Korbus

Friend, family member, possible werewolf. I co-host Strange Frequencies Radio, blog at Confidential Korbus, and generally walk among the weird. When I'm not doing busywork, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, my eyes glued to a glowing screen, or my ears tuned to The Ramones.
