SFR 276: Creationist Debate, Zimmerman’s Return, and a Whole Bunch of Bunk

–We review some comments and questions from last week’s “From Believer to Skeptic” show, leading to a discussion about its place in our history, as well as ethical issues for former ghost hunters.
–The Nye vs Ham  creation debate becomes a media sensation!  Whether you approve of Nye’s decision to debate, you at least have to admit he kicked Ham’s ass.
–Post-debate, creationists pose comments and questions to those that accept evolution, and it further reveals their absolutely stunning ignorance.
–On what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 19th birthday, his killer, George Zimmerman, agrees to fight rapper DMX in a “Celebrity Boxing” match.  The level of exploitation of this tragedy is sickening.
–The public allegations of rape from Dylan Farrow against her adopted father, Woody Allen, sends the internet into a rage-fueled frenzy.  We encourage restraint by advocating for a little skepticism.
–Two recent stories debunked by Metabunk show just how crazy internet conspiracy trolls can be.  First, how is it possible that anyone can believe that snow falling in the south recently was fake?  Secondly, while Justin Bieber may be a lot of things, we don’t think he is actually a shapeshifting Reptilian.

About Jason Korbus

Friend, family member, possible werewolf. I co-host Strange Frequencies Radio, blog at Confidential Korbus, and generally walk among the weird. When I'm not doing busywork, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, my eyes glued to a glowing screen, or my ears tuned to The Ramones.
