—Cecil the Lion is shot and killed by a Minnesota dentist. We’ll discuss the reaction.
–A sex worker kills a man who police believe is a serial killer. Incredible story. But how much do we really know?
–Right to privacy? Kentucky man shoots down a drone he says was hovering over his backyard, possibly spying on his sunbathing daughters, and is arrested for it. We’ll continue the privacy discussion we’ve discussed before regarding wiretapping, police cameras, and live-streaming apps like Periscope.
—A movie about the Fox Sisters is now in development. We discuss the role the sisters had in the Spiritualist movement, and why they are still relevant today. Plus, we wonder if this movie will be “based on a true story,” or more fact-based. There is, unfortunately, a difference.
–A recent newspaper article about a local paranormal team has us scratching our heads. But it wasn’t all bad! We get into EVP, disembodied voices, and “matrixing.”
–“I know what I saw!” Do you really? We discuss a fun personal memory test you can do at home.
–Currently streaming on Netflix in the United States is a movie called “Compliance,” which recounts the real-life horror at a fast food restaurant where a female employee was strip searched and sexually assaulted, all because someone on the phone led them to believe he was a police officer who needed their help in an investigation. We get into the Milgram Experiments, and how often people say things like “that wouldn’t happen to me.”
–We received a pretty brutal post on our Facebook page that blatantly accused us of bigotry and gross insensitivity towards transgender people. We take that pretty seriously, and reviewed the complaint. Personally, we found it pretty baseless. But we’ll tell the story, including the exact words of the complainant, and you can let us know.
