–The last couple weeks of SFR have been big downers, with mass shootings, terrorist attacks, and the death of our friend. This week we change all that, and get back to the business of being weird. Let’s have some fun.
—Pokemon Go has completely dominated smartphones and headlines, with some folks thinking it’s ridiculously stupid, and others saying it’s the best thing ever. So where do we come down? Is this the next stop on the Matrix?
–Bobby saw the new Ghostbusters movie, and gives it a fairly positive review. Jason thinks it’s a shame that a silly movie has become so incredibly politicized.
–We are geeked about a new series on Netflix called “Stranger Things.” It’s a little bit X-Files, a little bit Goonies, but mostly just has that cool 80s vibe we dig so much. Check it out!
–Entertainment Weekly released a photo of Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise in the new “It” movie. Reactions were mostly positive. Why does Jason generally not like remakes, but is excited for this?
–The Bernie Sanders revolution has begun…or at least a revolution to create air pollution, as some of his supporters are allegedly planning a “fart-in” during the upcoming Democratic convention in Philadelphia.
–The FBI has closed the book on the DB Cooper mystery for now, citing a lack of new leads, and the necessity of focusing on more fruitful cases.
–We dig deep into their personal archives and spend the remainder of the show poking fun at our old ghost hunting days. Among the items we show are old team meeting notes, early team name ideas, and Dear Sweet Christ we have ghost rap lyrics you’ll have to hear to believe.
