SFR 383: Chasing the Green Fairy

–Bobby and Jason crack open a bottle of absinthe and talk about the week in weird.  Bobby has cool glassware and accessories, while Jason thought this stuff was illegal.  Either way, it looks beautiful, the preparation is like sorcery, and we are ready to trip 13669782_1236998853027449_5486004267649448795_nf’n balls.
–Brendan Dassey, the young man featured in the Making a Murder documentary series, has his conviction overturned by a judge. Is this the right decision? What happens from here? Does it have any implications for Steven Avery?
–ISIS released an article in their Dabiq magazine that explains the reasoning of why they hate westerners and want to kill us. Chief among them is because we are disbelievers who “reject the oneness of Allah.” Can anyone honestly still believe it has nothing to do with religion?
–The FDA has approved a trial of Zika fighting GMO mosquitos to be released in Florida. Sounds like a cool movie idea! But what exactly is the plan? Could this actually work?
–We’re pretty sure the rest of the episode was taken up by talking about Trump’s bad couple weeks, and Hillary’s much better weeks. What exactly we covered, or what exactly we said is anyone’s guess. Maybe you can let us know? We’re wasted, dude.

About Jason Korbus

Friend, family member, possible werewolf. I co-host Strange Frequencies Radio, blog at Confidential Korbus, and generally walk among the weird. When I'm not doing busywork, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, my eyes glued to a glowing screen, or my ears tuned to The Ramones.
