–We kick off the show with Jason receiving his Christmas gift from Bobby.
–Bobby moves us forward with an enthusiastic review of Rogue One, which he loved beyond belief. Jason tries to keep him from spoiling too much for other fans that haven’t watched it yet.
–If the likeness of dead actors can be used in modern movies, what is to stop a young Marlon Brando from starring in an upcoming feature? Could living actors and actresses be going the way of the dodo? Are all-CGI films the future of cinema?
–The next two Sundays are Christmas and New Years Day, so we won’t be getting together to record a full-length podcast until January 8th. In the meantime, we’re planning to do mini episodes by Skype or phone to keep the conversations going.
–The Electoral College meets on Monday to cast their votes for the next President of the United States. Will Trump’s victory be made official? Will allegations of Russian interference cause something else to happen entirely? The world awaits!
–Each week on the SFR Facebook page we ask, “What’s weirding you out?” This week, Phil is bummed about people defending “fake news,” and Sharon has concerns about the penalty phase in the Dylann Roof trial.
–Great news for Jason: Unsolved Mysteries, the show that helped launch his fascination with “weird stuff” and true crime, is coming to streaming services near you. However, he does have concerns about the pseudo-skeptical nature of the program, and hopes for a reboot with a new host.
