–Strange Frequencies Radio is back, and we’re making up for lost time by getting right into the Timmothy Pitzen story, whose resolution we missed the chance to cover last week.
-RECOMMENDATION: Bobby, who has been on a bit of a true crime kick as of late, has been watching “The Act” on Hulu, a dramatization of the story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her mother, Dee Dee. Jason prefers documentaries, and says if you’re interested in this wild story, check out the HBO documentary Mommy Dead & Dearest
–Scientists release the first images of what a black hole looks like, having photographed it in a galaxy some 50 million light years away!
–Ghost Hunters, the show that helped launch us into paranormal investigation ourselves is back…sort of. Three of the former cast members are moving to Travel Channel in a new series called Ghost Nation. Bobby vows to not watch.
-SFR MAILBAG: One of our favorite segments, this week we answer a couple of questions from the audience. First, Zach wants to know how to express his doubt to his girlfriend about ghosts, a topic of which she is very passionate, without being too pushy. Plus, Chris wants to know if Bigfoot can still be considered “woo” if the stories are as big in pop culture as they are.
–Next, we discuss the ongoing college admissions scandal, and talk about the possibilities when it comes to sentencing for Felicity Huffman who, along with a group of others, has agreed to plead guilty.
-THE END TIMES: During this round of political conversation, Bobby delves into the Barr testimony before Congress, what the coming Mueller Report will mean, and talks a bit about the candidates who are running for president, including who he thinks can beat Trump. Spoiler: He really, really hates Bernie now! Jason brings up some of the lesser known candidates in Buttigieg and Yang, and how the idea of a Universal Basic Income is worth discussing more.
–That’s it! See you next time!
