SFR 486: Into the Fog

–Strange Frequencies Radio is back in your life, and as the show kicks off, Bobby is looking for Avenger spoilers. Why in the world would he want to know what happens in a movie before he sees it? He explains.
–Much to Jason’s chagrin, Bobby can’t wait any longer to talk about the Star Wars teaser trailer. Jason explains the “Star Wars Fog,” and how once Bobby goes into it, you can’t ever fully get him out. Nevertheless, he relents and Bobby goes on and on about Star Wars. Jason really only has one question: why did so many guys tear up watching a goddamn teaser trailer?
SFR_Eye–Next, we talk about the Notre Dame fire and how, despite our objections with religion, we can’t deny how much amazing art and architecture it has inspired. Bobby talks about how seeing Notre Dame in person has been on his bucket list. Jason thinks many people only pretend to care and, besides, he has already seen and done so much via the magic of Google Maps. This segment descends into laughter.
–Since we’re winging it, Bobby brings up the story of a girl with an obsession for the Columbine massacre and how she traveled to Colorado and bought weapons, intending to create a massacre of her own. Speaking of Columbine, neither of us can believe it has been 20 years! Jason doesn’t even remember a decade of his life.
–Jason brings up the arrest of Julian Assange, and Bobby instantly says “fuck that guy,” which makes Jason want to get into it even more! Bobby gives a bit of insight as to why he hates him. Jason thinks people’s opinions of Assange are greatly influenced by whose political tribe he has hurt recently.
–Emeritus Pope Benedict released an essay of sorts, blaming the church’s child sex abuse scandal on the hippies! Okay, maybe that’s an oversimplification, but not by much!
–Jason can’t help himself. He needs to tell you a story he read about Mini Mothman!
Bobby saw that Trump is irritated at Fox News because they had Bernie in a town hall format on his favorite network. Jason gives respect to Bernie for bringing his ideas to the rival side, something he thinks Democrats should do more often. Bobby also gives his opinion on what the Mueller Report will or will not show upon its release Thursday morning.
–That’s all, folks!!

About Jason Korbus

Friend, family member, possible werewolf. I co-host Strange Frequencies Radio, blog at Confidential Korbus, and generally walk among the weird. When I'm not doing busywork, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, my eyes glued to a glowing screen, or my ears tuned to The Ramones.
