–Christmas comes early as Jason brings Bobby his gift of a Lincoln coin and stamp collection. Bobby says Jason’s gift “hasn’t arrived yet,” and Jason takes a photo to remember this sad moment.
–Getting back to the business of being weird, we start off with a look at what’s going on in the crazier corners of the world, and we find much to discuss. We dig into claims involving Obama planning to shut down the electric grid to usurp ultimate power, nuking the sun, Hillary and Podesta running a child sex ring, all First Ladies being trans, and China making corned beef out of human bodies. There’s even another story involving “hot dogs” as a code word. Seriously, you have to hear it to believe it.
–Jason proposes an idea about a fake podcast and silly alter-egos that he wants listener feedback on. Should we have kooky past guests on and subtly make fun of them under new names and voices? He isn’t sure if it’s a good idea or not. Listen and let us know what you think!
–Bobby is paying a bit of attention to the vote recounts in Wisconsin and elsewhere, and is curious what effect, if any, it will have on the outcome of the election. Jason’s guess is not much, but we shall see. Also, is there any reason to trust Jill Stein in any of this?
—Mothman has reappeared in the skies over Point Pleasant, WV. Coincidentally enough, it was right around the time of the 50th anniversary of the first sightings. Do the photos stand up to scrutiny? Spoiler alert: not even close.
–In “Making A Murderer” news, Brendan Dassey’s conviction is overturned and, before he could be released from prison, an appeal by prosecutors forces him to remain in custody.
–Furthermore, prosecutors and the defense team have mutually agreed to test or retest much of the most damning evidence in the Steven Avery murder trial. What evidence is being tested, and what could potentially happen from here?
–We then do what we in the business call “killing time,” and brought up a few other topics to stretch the podcast out a bit. We talk about how our Thanksgivings went, while Bobby went into great detail about what he ate. We then moved on to Bobby’s first experience being fully immersed in the rivalry that is the Ohio State-Michigan game. Then, somehow we end up agreeing that we would not want to bother a celebrity for a photo or autograph at dinner.
